Your health check, before you reach Malawi
Answer a few short questions about your trip and your health, and get a QR health pass to show on arrival. It helps officers move you through the border faster.

One short check, before you travel
The official way to declare your health and recent travel before you arrive at any Malawian airport or border. It protects everyone — and means less waiting.
It’s for travellers
Anyone entering Malawi. You don’t work for the government and you don’t need a login.
It’s free
No charge, ever. No one will ask you to pay. Use only the official address.
It’s quick
About three minutes. Your answers stay on your device as you go.

Tell us about your trip
Choose where you’ll enter Malawi, the day you arrive, the country you’re coming from, and how you’re travelling.
- Start typing your point of entry, then pick it from the list.
- Arrival date defaults to today — set it up to two days ahead.
- Add any countries you visited in the last 21 days.

Tell us who you are
Enter your details exactly as they appear on your passport or travel document, and a number where you can be reached.
- Use the name on your travel document so it matches at the border.
- Give a reachable phone number and an emergency contact.
- Travelling as a family? Add your companions here.

Answer the health questions
Tell us how you feel and whether you’ve had any possible exposures in the last three weeks.
- Tap Yes and a short list of symptoms appears — tick what applies.
- Feeling well? Tap No and continue.
- Answering honestly is not a barrier to entry.

Check your answers & confirm
Review everything on one screen, read the short privacy note, give consent, and pass a quick automatic human check. Then submit.
- Go Back to fix anything before you submit.
- No puzzles and no login — just a one-tap human check.

Get your QR health pass
You’ll see an All done screen with a QR code and a reference number. Show it on arrival.
- Tap Save image to keep the pass on your phone.
- Reopen your pass anytime using your reference.
- No internet at the border? The reference number still works.

What happens when you arrive
- An officer scans your pass. Your answers appear instantly — you don’t repeat anything.
- Most travellers go straight through. A completed check with no concerns means a quick look and you’re on your way.
- If a closer look is needed, you’re referred to secondary screening — a short, private, precautionary follow-up. It doesn’t mean you’re ill.
A modern, paperless front door at every border
It replaces slow paper forms with a fast digital declaration that works even where the network is weak — strengthening Malawi’s ability to detect and respond to health threats, in line with the International Health Regulations.

Officers re-use your details through your pass rather than asking again at the border.
